Flying to Dubai: Delta One & Air France Business Class

Flying to Dubai was an extremely long trip (about 22 hours to be exact), but flying Delta One and Air France Business Class definitely made it a lot more enjoyable!

The biggest thing to remember while traveling these days is to check what the COVID-19 guidelines are for your destination. In our case, we had to show proof of a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the flight both when traveling there and back.

Delta One Lounge: Atlanta Airport

After our first leg of the trip, we were able to spend some time in the Delta Sky Club in Atlanta! I had been here once before in 2019, but as you can imagine things look different now! (You can read my blog post here & watch my vlog here from the last time I flew Delta One!)

Back in 2019 they had several different entrees and sides on a buffet for you to enjoy. However, this time almost everything was pre-packaged in order to keep everyone safe and healthy due to COVID-19. You of course can still ask for whatever drinks you would like though!

We didn’t have much time before our next flight, so I quickly tried the vegetable crudite and pesto grilled chicken sandwich. Both were great snack options they had available!

One other difference from the last time I was in the Delta Sky Club is that they now have the outdoor seating open! I went outside to take a look and it was so cute! If the weather is nice and it’s not too crowded, I would definitely recommend enjoying that space!

Delta One: Atlanta to Paris

After enjoying our short time at the Delta Sky Club, we boarded our flight for the second leg of the trip: Atlanta to Paris!

We flew Delta One, which made the flight so much more fun! It was different from my first experience flying Delta One just because the plane as well as the length of time of the flight were different, but it was still just as enjoyable!

We were able to choose online in advance what we wanted for dinner and I decided to get the lasagna. It also came with soup, bread, a salad, and ice cream!

We also had breakfast before landing in Paris and I had the overnight oats, which were very good! You could also ask for snacks or drinks whenever you’d like.

The flight of course also had plenty of tv shows and movies to watch while onboard as well as wifi available for purchase and free messaging.

Air France Business Class: Paris to Dubai

After arriving in Paris, we had to go back through security, which left us very little time to spend in the airport. We did a little speed shopping and then ran to the gate to catch our flight just in time.

One interesting thing about France that we learned is that they require you to use the blue disposable masks, so be sure to pack those! Luckily they gave us some on the flight before landing in Paris. Unfortunately you do have to wear your masks at all times in the airport as well as while onboard the plane except while eating or drinking. Hopefully things will change soon to make that part of traveling more comfortable and back to normal, but for now wearing a mask at all times is a must!

The Air France business class was very nice! They greeted us with a choice of champagne or orange juice and also gave us a menu for the flight. Similar to the Delta One flight, we received a blanket and a pillow to use if we wanted to sleep. We also were given a little toiletry bag to keep which had several helpful things in it such as an eyemask, socks, a toothbrush and toothpaste, hand cream, lip balm, and more!

On this flight they served lunch, which was delicious! It had French cheese, breads, and desserts, which were so cute and yummy!

They also served a light snack before landing. Of course you could ask for whatever you’d like during the flight as well.

After a long (but enjoyable) full day, we finally landed in Dubai and started our amazing trip!
