Dubai Parks – Lapita Resort

After spending time at Ras Al Khaimah, we stayed at Lapita Resort at Dubai Parks! The Dubai Parks Resort is home to Motiongate, Legoland Dubai, and Bollywood Parks. We spent two nights at Lapita Resort and went to the parks the first night and the full day we were there. Each park is so fun in its own way, but Motiongate was my personal favorite!

Lapita Resort

We stayed at Lapita Resort at Dubai Parks and it was very nice! The rooms were comfortable and the resort was close to the parks, which was great! They had a buggy that would take you to and from the hotel and the parks, which was very convenient.

Luckily, our room was in the main building, which was really nice because we were close to the lobby and the restaurant where they served breakfast.

We had breakfast at the hotel both mornings we were there and it was yummy! It was a buffet of both traditional Middle Eastern breakfast foods as well as Western breakfast foods too, so anyone could eat there and enjoy it!

Motiongate

As I said, Motiongate was my favorite park at Dubai Parks because it had many different rides based off of some of the most beloved movies from DreamWorks, Columbia Pictures, Lionsgate, and the Smurfs!

Another great thing about Dubai Parks when we went (June 29-30, 2021) was that it was not very crowded at all, so we were able to ride any ride with a short wait time! Since it wasn’t very crowded, if you’re going to Dubai Parks in June, I don’t really see a need to purchase the “Q-Fast” tickets to wait in a shorter line.

Columbia Pictures

Columbia Pictures has a lot of really fun rides based off of popular movies and one of the first ones we experienced was Hotel Transylvania. This ride was so cute and fun!

They also had an area for “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”, but sadly the water ride we were hoping to ride was closed for refurbishment while we were there. The whole area was so cute though!

Another fun ride was Ghostbusters! It was a shooting ride similar to “Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin”, but instead of physical targets, they had screens with moving targets, which was super fun!

They also had a ride called “Zombieland Blast Off”, which was a ride that shot you up all the way to the top at an unexpected time, so it was very exciting!

Smurf’s Village

Smurf’s Village was also such a cute area! They had a lot of fun rides for younger kids and cute play areas too, but they were closed due to COVID. We rode the little roller coaster in Smurf’s Village and it was adorable!

DreamWorks

My favorite part of Motiongate was the DreamWorks area! It was so cute seeing the DreamWorks movies come to life in a theme park! It was also a plus that this part of the park was indoors, so it allowed you to get out of the Dubai heat for a while!

Shrek

As a kid, my favorite movie was Shrek, so it was so much fun experiencing this area of the park! They had a cute ride called “Shrek’s Merry Fairy Tale Journey”, which told the story of Shrek!

They also had another cute little ride called “Swamp Celebration”, which spins you back and forth. The whole Shrek area was so much fun to see!

Madagascar

The Madagascar area was also so cute and fun, with lots to do! The best part of the Madagascar areas was the “Mad Pursuit” roller coaster, which is an intense and super fun ride! We rode it several different times because it was so fun! The Madagascar area also had a couple other little rides, but “Mad Pursuit” is a must-do for anyone who enjoys a thrill!

Kung Fu Panda

The Kung Fu Panda area was also so cute! We ate lunch at Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop, which was adorable because it was almost as if you were in the movie actually eating at Mr. Ping’s shop!

We ordered spring rolls, Mr. Ping’s noodle soup, orange chicken, dumplings, and a mango lassi drink. It was all so good!

The Kung Fu Panda area also had two fun rides! Mr. Ping’s Noodle Fling is similar to a “tea cup” ride that spins you around. They also had the Kung Fu Panda Unstoppable Awesomeness ride, which was amazing!

How To Train Your Dragon

The How to Train Your Dragon area was also so cool! They had two major rides. One was the Swinging Viking, which rocks you back and forth super high! The main attraction though, was a ride called Dragon Gliders, which was really fun and also a must-do for anyone visiting Dubai Parks!

We also got a little snack while we were in the How to Train Your Dragon area and it was also very yummy and refreshing!

Lionsgate

The Lionsgate area of Motiongate had two Hunger Games rides! One was the Capitol Bullet Train, which was a big roller coaster that was so much fun and had a surprising twist to it at the beginning! The second Hunger Games ride was the Panem Aerial Tour, which was also fun and definitely a ride you should check out if you’re a Hunger Games fan!

Legoland Dubai

The next park we visited at Dubai Parks was Legoland! This park was so much fun!

If you’re going to Legoland during the summer, I would definitely recommend buying one of the cups for free refills all day because it gets really hot walking around the park all day and you can go into any restaurant in the park and refill your drink!

MiniLand

One of the cutest parts of the park was the “Miniland” area, which had lego replicas of the entire city of Dubai! It was so impressive and fun to look at!

They even created the Burj Khalifa out of legos, which was huge!

You do not want to miss seeing Miniland in Legoland Dubai!

Lego City

Lego City had a lot of fun rides for younger kids to enjoy, such as a driving ride, a boating ride, and more!

Imagination

The Imagination area had fun interactive places where you can create your own lego cars and more!

Land of Adventure

The Lost Kingdom Adventure ride was also a little shooting ride that was a lot of fun!

One of the coolest rides at Legoland Dubai was the submarine ride that actually goes underwater where you can see different fish – both lego and real!

Kingdoms

The Kingdoms area of Legoland Dubai was also really fun because they had a little roller coaster called The Dragon, which was so cute!

The Knight’s Table restaurant is just one example of where you can go to refill your drink if you purchase one of the refillable cups around the park!

Lego Factory

Every part of Legoland Dubai was fun, but my favorite part was experiencing the Lego Factory. Here, you were able to walk through and read about the story of the Lego company and then witness firsthand how lego pieces are made! At the end, you were given one of the lego pieces that the factory created! It was such a fun experience and one you do not want to miss!

Bollywood Parks

Last but not least, we also visited Bollywood Parks! We went to this park the first night we were at Dubai Parks and while we did not spend nearly as much time at this park as the others, it was still really fun to experience!

The highlight of our time at Bollywood Parks was riding the world’s tallest swing ride! It was honestly one of the most terrifying experiences of my life because it was so high (460 feet to be exact!), but it was definitely a ride I’ll never forget and something to cross off the bucket list! You definitely have to be brave to ride this swing ride!

Overall, our time at Dubai Parks was so much fun and I would go back in a heartbeat! The rides were so fun and the parks were so nice! To see more from my time at Dubai Parks and Lapita Resort, watch my vlog here!
