Adventures by Disney: Hong Kong

We began our Adventures By Disney China trip in the stunning city of Hong Kong! The views, culture, food, and more made this city truly one of my favorites on this incredible trip!

The Peninsula Hong Kong

We stayed at the beautiful Peninsula Hong Kong! The hotel itself was absolutely breathtaking as soon as you pull up to the building and walking into the lobby is an experience like no other! The Peninsula Hong Kong was the flagship Peninsula Hotel, which opened in 1928.

The rooms are very spacious, with most appliances and other objects hidden away in the drawers of the furniture. I personally really liked that aspect of the room because it made it feel even more spacious and clean. The room also had a cute little tea set, which was so fun to enjoy the afternoon we arrived!

Harry Winston Afternoon Tea

We had some free time on the day we arrived, so we went down to the lobby and enjoyed this incredible afternoon tea time! It was called “Winston Garden at the Peninsula” Afternoon Tea and was luckily being offered during the month we were there!

This afternoon tea included tea of your choice, scones, savories, and sweets, which were all delicious! This was one of my favorite experiences while staying at the Peninsula Hong Kong because not only were we able to enjoy a lovely afternoon tea, but we were also able to spend time in the elegant lobby!

Once we finished the tea, we were given vouchers to take to the Harry Winston store inside the hotel shopping arcade, where we redeemed it for beautiful Harry Winston tea spoons! (see the unboxing in my YouTube video below)

Let the Adventures Begin!

The evening we arrived at the Peninsula Hong Kong, our adventures by Disney group met for the first time for a welcome dinner at the hotel! We were able to try many different traditional dishes, which immediately immersed us in the culture of this wonderful country!

Upon arriving back to our rooms, we had received this delightful treat to welcome us to our adventure!

The next morning we enjoyed a delicious buffet-style breakfast at the Peninsula before heading into the city for a day full of adventure!

Stanley Market

The first stop in Hong Kong we experienced as a group was the famous Stanley Market!

The views on the drive there were absolutely breathtaking!

There were so many different kinds of shops at Stanley Market, so there was truly something for everyone to enjoy! I loved just walking around the market and seeing all they had to offer.

I bought several souvenirs in a couple of the shops and even found a few gifts for friends back home!

Victoria Peak

The next spot we visited was my favorite in Hong Kong: Victoria Peak! The views from the top were astonishing! It had the most beautiful views of the city below that I could possibly imagine!

I will never forget just how beautiful this view was and it’s definitely a location that I would love to visit again one day!

Before leaving the peak, we enjoyed lunch at The Peak Lookout. I had curry and rice, but every offering on the menu looked delicious!

Star Ferry & Victoria Harbour

Next, we visited Victoria Harbour, where we had the chance to enjoy all the views the city had to offer! We also had the opportunity to experience riding the Star Ferry across the Harbour, which allowed us to enjoy even more spectacular views!

We ended our time in the city by receiving our adorable second Disney pin of the trip, “Hong Kong Top to Bottom”!

After finishing our time in the city, we experienced Hong Kong Disneyland as a group! Click below to watch my YouTube video about my time in Disneyland and click here to read my blog post!
