While in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE we stayed at the beautiful Ritz Carlton Al Wadi Desert!
From the moment we entered the property, we were surrounded by nothing but beauty. From the breathtaking views of the desert to the remarkable architecture, everything was absolutely beautiful.
The lobby was picture perfect and an amazing welcome to this beautiful place!
The Room
After checking in, they kindly drove us on a buggy to our room. Anytime you need to go anywhere at the resort, all you have to do is call and they will come pick you up in one of the buggies!
The room was absolutely gorgeous, with such attention to detail and a welcoming feeling! The bedroom was stunning with high ceilings and beautiful lighting fixtures in both the bedroom and bathroom.
The bathroom was just as beautiful with a tub as the focal point of the room. There were two sinks and it was extremely spacious!
The most amazing part of the room was of course the incredible view and plunge pool right outside your bedroom! It was so peaceful and you can even see some of the animals right outside your room!
After settling in, we ordered room service for lunch, which was a delicious chicken shawarma wrap!
Sunset Camel Ride
We spent the evening doing a sunset camel ride, which was one of my very favorite experiences of the whole trip!
We rode the camels throughout the resort and watched the sun begin to set along the way.
After riding the camels, we got to sit and enjoy the rest of the sunset with the perfect view! They also gave us juice to enjoy while watching the sunset and you could see some of the animals nearby as well!
The location was perfect for taking plenty of pictures with the beautiful desert sunset in the background! I loved every second of it!
After the sun completely set, they picked us up on a different buggy and took us to feed the oryx before we were brought back to our room. It was so much fun to learn about the oryx as we watched them enjoy their dinner.
Dinner at Farmhouse
After the gorgeous sunset, we had dinner at the Farmhouse restaurant. The interior of the restaurant was so cozy and fun!
The food was also delicious! I had the Farmhouse salad, gnocchi, and baked Alaska!
Morning Nature Drive
The next morning we were up bright and early to experience the morning nature drive! We learned about the desert terrain as well as the animals that live there.
First we learned about the plants, such as the Ghaf trees, which can be used as a natural remedy for many things, including snake bites.
Next, we got to feed the little gazelles, which was so cute! They are very shy, but eventually they came to eat the food that was put out for them!
Once again, everywhere you turn you’re surrounded by gorgeous views of the desert.
Finally, we learned more about the oryx and got to watch them eat their breakfast, which was so fun to watch!
Breakfast
After the nature drive, we enjoyed breakfast at Kaheela where we tried a number of different things. I had the avocado toast, which was very good! I also tried some of the traditional Arabian breakfast foods, which were also delicious!
The Afternoon
Upon arriving back to the room that afternoon we were welcomed with the cutest towel animal and note from the housekeepers! They also made a beautiful bubble bath in the tub!
We spent the afternoon biking around the property and stopped at the adorable playground they have for the kids. We also spent some time in the pool at our room just enjoying the amazing scenery.
Dinner at Moorish
That evening we ate dinner at Moorish, which was amazing! We ordered several different drinks and appetizers to try, all of which were incredible!
I had the vegetable couscous, which tasted amazing and was so beautifully presented! For dessert I tried the traditional cheese kunafa as well as the strawberry muhalabiyah, which was like a strawberry milk pudding.
Falcon Show & Stargazing
We ended the evening by watching the falcon show and doing stargazing! We learned all about some of the different birds they have at the resort. It was so interesting and fun to watch the birds fly and even get to hold them!
Since it was dark, it was hard to take any photos at stargazing, but on our way there, we did see several adorable camels walking around the resort! It was so cute!
Stargazing was also such a fun experience! Although it was a little cloudy and we couldn’t see everything completely clear, we were still able to see most of the stars as well as Mars!
Photo Spots
The property is so beautiful that there is not a single bad spot to take pictures, but these were some of my favorites!
Right outside the room there were several different backgrounds that were pretty for pictures! The sand and rocks in the front, the door, and even just the building itself made for beautiful pictures.
The entrance to the lobby was a gorgeous path that was perfect for pictures with the orange walls and beautiful light fixtures!
These pictures were also taken just outside our room and some with the pretty tower in the background!
Before we left the next morning, we also got to experience The Rainforest Spa, which was so much fun! Although I didn’t get any pictures inside, trust me when I say that this is a spa experience you will want to have!
Every second spent at this beautiful Ritz Carlton was perfect! Everyone was so kind and helpful which made our stay amazing! It was honestly one of my very favorite hotels I’ve stayed at! I would love to come back and spend even more time at this stunning place!
