Atlanta Airport Delta Sky Lounge
Once arriving at the Atlanta airport and checking in, we were able to go to the Delta Sky Club Lounge in the international terminal of the airport. After checking in at the lounge, we walked around a little bit and found a seat up on the second level of the lounge.
There was plenty of seating in the lounge, which was very convenient while we waited for our flight. We sat in the lounge and enjoyed a few snacks as we watched the sunset while waiting for our Asia adventure to begin!
There were many food and drink options available in the lounge and of course you were welcome to have as much as you like! While we were there, they had build your own tacos as well as chicken and rice for the main dishes. There were also several other snacks and options such as soup, various side dishes, and desserts. There was truly something for everyone to enjoy!
The staff in the lounge were very kind, helpful, and attentive the entire time we were there! This was a great part of our Delta One experience and was a great opportunity to stretch our legs and rest a little bit before our flight!
Atlanta to Seoul, South Korea
Upon boarding the plane, we were greeted with orange juice once arriving at our seats. The seats themselves were incredible! There was plenty of room and the seats were able to lay flat to turn into a bed once you were ready to sleep. There was a lot of storage and the entertainment system was very nice! One of my favorite parts of the seats was the sliding door for more privacy when you’re sleeping.
At our seats we found a Tumi case filled with little toiletries and helpful items for the flight!
After getting settled on the flight for a little while, they served dinner. I got lasagna, which was very good! For dessert they served ice cream with chocolate sauce!
After dinner I spent the majority of the flight watching movies and sleeping. About mid-flight I decided to journal for a little while and asked for a cup of tea. You can ask for whatever you need or want at any point during the flight!
After sleeping a little longer, it was time for breakfast before landing in Seoul. I got the french toast and enjoyed it while preparing to land.
Seoul, South Korea
Once we arrived in Seoul, it was about 3am, so nothing was open in the airport. We walked around the airport for a little while before finding the lounge. Since it was so early, one of the lounges was not open, but luckily the other was!
In the lounge, they have drinks and ramen available at all times. A few hours later they served breakfast, but their breakfast is much different than ours in the United States! I had rice and they offered many other traditional South Korean dishes!
After a few hours of waiting in the lounge, we finally boarded our flight to Hong Kong and we were on our way!
Overall, my first Delta One experience was definitely one to remember! Having access to the lounges in the airports made waiting for flights much more enjoyable! The actual flight itself was amazing and felt a lot shorter than 14 hours with all the accommodations and entertainment options available!
I would definitely recommend Delta One for anyone with a long flight such as ours because it made the entire traveling experience a lot easier and more enjoyable!
