We kicked off the New Year by taking a short trip to “the happiest place on earth”! Although the park was a little more crowded than I was expecting, it was still such a fun trip! My favorite part was finally getting to stay at the Treehouse Villas!
Day One: Magic Kingdom
The Christmas decorations were all still up, which was so cute! I’m so glad we were able to still see them!
We stopped for lunch at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. Because of COVID-19, you have to place your order through the Walt Disney World app and it will notify you once your order is ready. Then, you go straight to the assigned counter to pick up your order.
This was a smart way to get your food and it felt really fast as well, but the restaurant itself still seemed very crowded. We finally found a table outside and enjoyed our lunch.
After lunch we went to Fantasyland and took some pictures at some of my favorite spots in the Magic Kingdom! I took these photos behind the castle, on the stairs of the castle to the right near the little Cinderella Fountain, and in the little nook to the right with the beautiful view of the side of the castle. These are perfect spots to take pictures with Cinderella Castle in the background!
Of course we couldn’t leave the Magic Kingdom without getting a Dole Whip first!
Treehouse Villas
Then we made our way to where we were staying… the amazing Treehouse Villas!
Upon entering treehouse, there’s a spacious dining area, kitchen and living room area.
The master bedroom is also very spacious and has its own bathroom attached to it.
On the other side of the treehouse, there is one bedroom with bunk beds and another bedroom with another queen sized bed. There is also a bathroom at the end of this hallway.
I’ve always wanted to stay in one of the treehouses at Disney and I’m so happy we were finally able to! It was very roomy and the perfect place to come back to & relax after a day at the parks. It can fit up to 9 people, so I think this would be a great place to stay with friends or extended family as well!
It’s also a great place to stay during these times of COVID-19 because you can easily practice social-distancing from others in your own treehouse!
Disney Springs
After settling in at our treehouse, we went to Disney Springs for dinner. We ate at Chicken Guy! We had eaten there before, but it’s been a couple years ago now, so it was good to try it again. I would definitely recommend trying it if you love anything chicken!
Then we did some shopping at one of my favorite stores… American Threads! I absolutely love shopping at this store in Disney Springs!
We finished our night at Disney Springs by going to the Coca-Cola rooftop, where we tried the Cherry Coke Float and the Gingerbread Coke. They were both delicious!
We brought some desserts from Amorette’s back to the treehouse to try for my sister’s 16th birthday. The best one was definitely the little rose cake! The rest were not my favorite, but they were all so beautiful!
Day 2: Hollywood Studios
We spent our second day at Hollywood Studios where I was finally able to ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway! It was similar to the type of ride that the Ratatouille ride is at Disneyland Paris (which we will soon be getting in EPCOT)! It was so cute and definitely worth the wait in line!
We enjoyed lunch at the Hollywood Brown Derby where I got the Cobb Salad, which is always delicious! The burger looked very tasty as well. This is by far my favorite restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and I would definitely recommend trying it!
After lunch and a couple more rides, we rode the Skyliner over to EPCOT for a bit! The views on the ride over are so beautiful!
Day 3: EPCOT
We spent our third day at EPCOT! EPCOT is my personal favorite park at Disney World, so I loved just being able to spend some time walking around World Showcase and enjoying this park being less crowded than usual in the morning.
We enjoyed lunch at the Rose and Crown Dining Room! We had actually never eaten here before, but I’m so glad we tried it because it was amazing! I got the chicken masala, which was delicious! They also brought out this little cake for my sister’s birthday, which also tasted amazing!
Day 4: Animal Kingdom
We spent our final day at Animal Kingdom! We got to the park early so that the lines would be as short as possible.
Luckily Expedition Everest was not a very long wait as well as Kilimanjaro Safaris!
We enjoyed a coffee at Joffrey’s before walking around the park some more and riding Dinosaur. That was probably one of the longest lines we had to wait in, but it’s always worth it!
We also took a few pictures at the Tree of Life before leaving!
Overall we had an amazing time at Walt Disney World, especially experiencing the Treehouse Villas! It had been a while since the last time I had been to Disney World, so I’m so happy I was able to go!
