J’aime Paris!

For spring break this year I visited my favorite city… the breathtaking city of Paris! Although my time in the city was unfortunately cut short due to COVID-19, I still had an amazing time visiting some of my favorite places!

While we were staying at Disneyland Paris, we went into the city for an evening where a driver took us to some of the most popular and iconic spots in the city.

Our first stop was the Arc de Triomphe, where we took lots of pictures and enjoyed the hustle and bustle of this beautiful city for a few minutes before heading to our next stop: the Eiffel Tower.

Eiffel Tower Photo Tip!

One of my favorite places to take pictures with the Eiffel Tower in the background is the viewing area across from the Tower close to the street. You can take pictures on the stairs, standing on the platform, or sitting on the wall like I did in the picture below. This location has countless options for beautiful pictures of the iconic landmark!

Next we drove to Place de la Concorde, which is the largest square in the city of Paris and is located close to the Louvre. This is a beautiful spot for pictures as well and you can catch a glimpse of the Arc de Triomphe or the Eiffel Tower in the background of your photos depending on the angle you shoot from.

Our next stop on our city drive was the Louvre. We took some quick pictures outside before it got completely dark and then headed to our last couple stops!

More Stops & More Photos!

Before visiting our final location, we stopped at Pierre Herme, a macaron store, to try their macrons since they are one of my favorite sweets in Paris and our tour guide highly recommended this store!

The macarons were delicious and if you love them as much as I do you should definitely try Pierre Herme, but I still think Laduree is my personal favorite!

Our last stop on our drive was Notre Dame Cathedral. We briefly saw the beautiful cathedral and took a few photos before heading back to Disneyland Paris for the night.

If you are just in the city for a day or are just looking for a quick tour of the city’s major landmarks, I highly recommend booking a driver for a few hours. This allows you to have an overview of the city and experience all the highlights. We just booked it for long enough to see the most popular attractions to take photos, but if you want to go inside any of these places and have the full experience, there are definitely tours that do so as well as private drivers you can book for longer periods of time.

I visited Paris a few years ago and we went inside all of these famous landmarks last time we were in the city, so this time we just saw them on our drive and took photos to make sure we had enough time to do everything else we had planned for this trip!

Beautiful Sights…

Once we got to the Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace in Versailles, we took a trip to the city for the day. First, we went to Musee de l’Orangerie to see Monet’s lovely Waterlily paintings! This is one of my favorite museums in Paris because these paintings are absolutely breathtaking!

After visiting the museum, we walked to the Louvre and went to a few shops in the mall inside the Louvre, called Carrousel du Louvre. My favorite place inside the mall is La Maison du Chocolat, which is a delicious chocolate store that I definitely recommend trying!

Lunch…

After the Louvre, we walked down the Champs Elysees to eat lunch at my favorite place: Laduree! We ordered the afternoon tea, which included your choice of tea, scones, little sandwiches, sweets, and of course macarons! I also tried the Rose Latte, which was beautiful!

Laduree will always be one of my favorite places in all of Paris because it is the perfect aesthetic for this gorgeous city and they have the most delicious macarons!

Shopping…

After lunch we did a little shopping at my favorite store on the Champs Elysees: Louis Vuitton! This flagship store of Louis Vuitton is several stories of stunning Louis Vuitton products and interior design.

I’ll do another blog post soon about the purse I got from Louis Vuitton!

Unfortunately our time in Paris got cut short due to COVID-19, but I’m very thankful for the time I got to spend in my favorite city! I’m hoping I’ll be able to visit again soon so I can spend more time in Versailles to do the things we had planned while staying there.

I absolutely loved every second I got to spend in the city on this trip and I definitely recommend visiting all the places we did if you want to experience this city for all of its beauty and glamour!

Thanks so much for reading and check out my YouTube channel to see my vlog from the trip!!
